NETRCON Technologies started its activities in form of different construction crews in early nineties but was established in Malaysia as an independent Transmission Lines & Civil Works Construction Company in 1996. Prior to that the crews of NETRACON Tech: were busy on 500kV Gatti-Multan with M/S ICC & 500 kV Gatti-Lahore with M/S CSC-China but the Company commenced its formal operation in Malaysia on 500kV Double Circuit Ayer Tawar-Bukit Tarik ( Line-2 ) for ZELLECO-ABB SAE SADELMI J/V in 1997 by taking a challenging job of foundations and erection of Double Circuit Steel Towers for 500 KV Transmission Line-2 in the marshy & vegetation areas of Parak-Malaysia. The client M/S ABB-ZELLECO lauded the efficiency of our crews. On recommendation of M/S ZELLECO, our crews were deployed for erection of towers with helicopter by M/S Malakoff in preference to the already deployed crews. M/S Malakoff and M/S Statnet (Norway) appreciated the performance of the company.
We have always been considered as the preferred formation to take on the works of emergent rehabilitation & storm restoration of 220kV & 500KV T/Lines for WAPDA/GSO-NTDC. To execute the jobs of Butt - Jointing, re-casting of footings, assembly, site fabrication of missing components, tower erection, stringing, clipping & spacering etc. well within the target time made NETRACON one of the most favourite formations for emergent works.
WAPDA/NTDC have saved Billions because of our preventive maintenance of the towers of 220kV SKP-RAVI, SKP-BRD Circuits 1,2,3 & 4, NKLP-SNR-Yousafwala, Guddu-Sibi, Sibi Quetta & 500 kV Lahore-Multan & Guddu-JamshoroT/Lines.
NETRACON have played major role in completion of 220 kV T/Line from 500kV Peshawar to Shahi Bagh for M/S ICC (pvt)Ltd. Besides its contribution on 220kV Shahi Bagh-Nowshera-Barotha Sections for M/S ICC.
NETRACON Survey Section has completed survey works to prepare plan & profile from Duabir Khaur(Pattan)-Khan Khaur(Besham)-Allai Khaur-Mansehra on behalf of NEIE-China. Netracon will be construction 220 kV T/Line Khan Khwar Allai Khwar Section. Netracon crews have contributed by concreting Foundations as well as Tower Erection. Now Netracon have d4ployed its two stringing crews for stringing of Lot-I & Lot-ii.
NETRACON has also completed 11 kV & 132 kV T/Lines on turnkey basis for Satpara Dam Project Sakardu and Substation / Switchyard Civil / electrical Works for CMIC-China.
NETRACON Technologies are currently deployed by ABB to construct 132 kV Sub
stations at Gulshan e Maymaar & Memon Goth including design of civil Works, Civil Works, erection Works, Protection works & commissioning.
In the Western regions of Africa, NETRACON Technologies has outstandingly performed to erect and string the 330 kV Aboadze – Volta Transmission Line Project. The Transmission Line Starts from Tukuradi Power House and passes through a very difficult terrain of Marshy & Swamp area along the shores of Atlantic Ocean besides crossing the mountainous terrain as well as passing through the thickly populated suburbs of Accra. Despite having all the toughest factors and situations, NETRACON did the job in splendid way to earn the laurels of the client (VRA) for KEC/NETRACON crews.
In the eastern regions of Africa, NETRACON Technologies have assisted to complete the construction of 400 kV GILGILGIBE Power Transmission Line Project in Ethiopia on behalf of KEC International. NETRACON played the most crucial role to complete the project by stringing the 400 kV Transmission Line through one tof he most difficult areas & thick forests of Africa.
NETRACON Technologies are pre-qualified by PHCN of Nigeria as joint venture formation NETRACON-NEWAGE-PECO J/V for construction of transmission lines in Nigeria (Africa) on turnkey basis.
National Load Control Center (NLCC), Afghanistan
It is not out of place to mention that ABB Sweden, ABB Switzerland & ABB India have jointly relied on NETRACON Technologies to join hands to prepare and submit bids for establishment of National Load Control Center (NLCC) in Afghanistan.
The 1st phase regarding replacement of Shield Wires with OPGW on existing transmission lines & installation of all the allied equipment is already entrusted to NETRACON Technologies as turnkey Job by Louis Berger / Black & Veatch JV.
In 2003, NETRACON accepted the challenging jobs of rehabilitation of 110kV T/Line & 20 kV T/Lines for Kabul in a bid to contribute towards the process of rebuilding Afghanistan and make available the electric power to the brotherly people of Afghanistan on emergent basis.
The assignment was undertaken with missionary spirit rather than a business venture. We were responsible for detailed inspection, survey, engineering, design of Towers, foundation repair, fabrication of damaged/missing parts, erection and tension stringing of:-
* 67 kM long 110kv Sarobi-Breshna Kot Kabul Line (244 Towers).
* 20kV Lines from Breshnakot to Junktion-I & III …… for ABB Germany
* 110 kV T/Line Kabul East to Breshna Kot T/Line..for ALSTOM/AREVA.
We actively worked in the chill & snow of Kabul through the mountainous areas around to rehabilitate power supply system for Kabul. We brought more than 400MW to the city of Kabul from Naghlu HPP & Saroby HPP. NETRACON assisted M/S SIEMENS for completion of its assignments at 110 kV Substations at Breshna Kot & Kabul East Sub Stations.
During the years 2006-7, we have completed the jobs of rehabilitation, Construction, Stringing of Conductors & OPGW on behalf of KEC International for the following 93 Km long T/Lines
* 110 kV Kabul East to Naghlu HPP
* 110 kV Kabul North to Kabul East
* 110 kV derivation to Mahipar HPP.
* 110 kV derivation to Pull-e-Charkhi
NETRACON have also completed the assigned jobs of 220 kV sections Hairetan- Mazar e Shareef , Mazar e Shareef - Pull Khumeree Sections by erecting towers and then undertook installation of special towers for one of the rare Transmission Lines passing high altitude of 4000 Metres by erecting towers on the Salang Top and stringing conductors on these dangerous mountainous areas. NETRACON is proud of its highly valued contribution for establishing 220kV Link from North to Kabul by supporting KEC International in construction of this very important Transmission Line.
Sub Stations in Afghanistan
Netracon Technologies has performed outstandingly by completing construction of 220 kV Sub Stations at Mazare Shareef & Pull e Khumeree for ABB/WHG. Netracon performance and working has been widely appreciated by ABB- Germany, WHG and the concerned MEW staff & Officials.
The Company commenced its formal operation in Malaysia on 500kV Double Circuit Ayer Tawar-Bukit Tarik (Line-2) for ZELLECO-ABB SAE SADELMI J/V in 1997 by taking on a challenging job of installation
of Double Circuit Steel Towers for 500 KV Transmission Line-2 in the marshy & vegetation areas of Parak-Malaysia. Our crews were chosen for erection of towers with helicopter by M/S Malakoff. M/S Malakoff and M/S Statnet (Norway) appreciated the performance of the company. We also carried out the work of Soil Stabilization and Construction of Drainage Channels around the tower foundations in hilly terrain of Parak, Malaysia.
On successful completion of our jobs in Malaysia, M/S ABB-SAE-SADELMI sub contracted us the stringing job of 230 KV & 500 KV double circuit Quad Bundled Transmission Lines in Luzon-Philippines. Stringing of 230 KV D/C Q/C bundled Sual-Labrador Transmission Line, 500 KV D/C Q/C bundled Labrador-San Mannual T/Line & 500 KV D/C Q/C bundled San Jose T/Line was carried out in the humid and rainy environments of Luzon-Philippines. NETRACON carried out these works with its own crews as well as employing the local workers.
